Obituary for Hilda Rosa De Anglero

Hilda Rosa De Anglero
A LIFE REMEMBERED

Heaven gained an Angel on Friday, March 9, 2018, when Hilda Rosa Rodriguez de Anglero peacefully transitioned from this realm to her heavenly home at the age of 82. She was surrounded by her loving husband, Osvaldo Anglero, of 59 years, her 8 children and their spouses, 28 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Hilda was a remarkable woman. At the tender age of 16, she left her beloved Island of Puerto Rico to make a life in New York City. Although she faced many obstacles, her courage, strength and faith allowed her to rise above them all.
She was a simple woman who lived an extraordinary life. Hilda and her husband, Osvaldo, established three churches; one in Puerto Rico, another in New York, and lastly in Florida. All were named Iglesia de Dios Camino al Cielo, under the Council of Church of God.
Not only was she a minister, she was also a missionary. She traveled as a missionary to the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Germany. She had a passion for the Word of God and shared its teachings with everyone who crossed her path. It was not uncommon for Hilda to open her doors for someone in need and demonstrate through her compassion God’s love here on Earth. Hilda was also the foster mother of many children with special needs for 11 years and was called ‘grandma’ by many. She was a powerful woman of faith who loved God with all her heart.
Of all her accomplishments, Hilda was most proud of her family. Hilda was determined to lead her family in following God; she planted the seed. She was mindful of nurturing that seed to ensure that it would germinate into a thriving source of life for others. It did. That one decision that she made 56 years ago transformed the entire family, including four generations that now faithfully serve God. The mustard seed, after much love, pruning, and commitment has transformed into a majestic tree. As the bible says in Luke 13:19 “It is like a mustard seed, which man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds perched in its branches.” Hilda’s faith was that mustard seed. Now, more than just leaving a large tree, she has left behind a fruitful forest.
The family she leaves behind is comforted by the assurance that she earned her wings and has gone to her true home in heaven alongside her two grandchildren, Daniel and Jeremias.
