Born of Spaniard parents in Havana, Cuba in July, 1927, Lino grew up in El Vedado, Havana. He went on to live in Spain in the early 70’s with his family as a result of the political unrest there. He then immigrated to the US and lived in Elizabeth, NJ which was his home until he moved to Florida in the late 90’s.

He was very active in sports and throughout his life played baseball, jai alai, paddle ball and racket ball. He was an avid fan of the Yankees and baseball in general and regularly engaged in spirited debates on the sport. Lino had a fighting spirit and loved social and family gatherings, something he participated in his entire life.
A faithful member of the JCC in Davie, FL, Lino could be found religiously doing his daily workout which concluded with a game of racket ball, even into his 90’s.
Lino is survived by his wife Nohemi of 32 years and their collective children Joe, Louly, Rick, Adriana and Joanna, as well as their grandchildren, Robert, Nancy, Lissette, Mila, Hayden, Hannah, Javin, Garett and Jake.
