Obituary

In Lieu of flowers make a donation to Walk Like MADD in the name of Team Washington

George Washington Jr. “Dennard”
began his earthly life on August 7,
1980, to the parentage of George and
Henrietta Drummond Washington,
in Hollywood, Florida. They insured
that good manners and respect were
molded into his character. Dennard,
as he was affectionately called by all
who knew him, had an outgoing,
pleasant personality that remained
throughout his life. His transition
to his eternal life was completed in the quietness of morning,
Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Westside Regional Hospital in
Plantation, Florida.

Dennard became the life partner, soulmate, and husband of Canica
Dillard Washington, his Queen C, for five years. They shared the
joys of a loving home, traveling, and dining out at restaurants. He
cherished his little princess Chenaniah Owens.

From the very beginning, Dennard’s personal traits would chart the
course of a distinguished and fertile life experience. His educational
background began at Ramblewood Elementary and Ramblewood
Middle School, and he graduated from J.P. Taravella High School.
Dennard earned a business administration degree from Lynn
University in Boca Raton, Florida.

Dennard confessed Christ as his personal Savior and joined
Bethasemane Missionary Baptist Church. Later, he transferred his
membership to Antioch Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and
praised and worship him in his Holy Temple. He was an usher at both
churches.

Dennard loved people and responded well to any generational level.
He was employed by Macy’s, Starbucks Coffee Company, Coca-Cola
as a store manager, and Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD)
as a state administrator. Dennard was a kind, loving, and generous
person who brightened any and everything he touched. Anyone who
had the pleasure of knowing him, will never forget his smile, the
candor of his speech, the courage of his faith, or the worth of his
friendship. He was known as the “ultimate employer.” His life was
truly an inspiration to his family, associates, friends, and Facebook
followers.

Dennard was a man of extraordinary fortitude and dignity, sent to
us by God. May his legacy continue to live on in our hearts and soul.
George Dennard Washington, Jr., leaves his cherished memories
of his life and dedication to: his wife, Canica Dillard Washington
