We love you, Dad. You were
not so tall in stature, but in
the mind of your children,
you were more prominent
than any giant and stronger
than Goliath. We called you
fearless, afraid of nothing
and no one. The love you
exhibited for your children
was just amazing. No matter what the situation or
issue at hand, you would stand up boldly and state
your opinion without any hesitation. Daddy, no
matter what problems you had with us, you would
endlessly forgive and quickly move forward to the
next task at hand; this was just your unconditional
love. We will miss your humor that often made us
laugh uncontrollably and your laid-back attitude
on most issues of life. Daddy, because you were so
strong in mind and body, we assumed you were
invincible; there would be no way death could hold
you down. God says, “We are once appointed to
die,” and one thing we know for sure, God does not
make any mistakes. It was your moment to leave,
which has broken our hearts into so many pieces.
We will miss you because you were not only our dad
but our best friend. We thank you for the time you
shared with your family. I wish we had more time,
so we could express the genuine love we have for
you, but God knows best. Life has only separated
your spirit from the body, and you will always have
a special place in our hearts. Although we will not
see you on this side anymore, we will see you in
heaven. Thanks, Daddy (AKA, Da), for being a part
of bringing life to all of us.

Love, Your Children

Dear Brother, the angels came and escorted you away.
Our heart ached, and oh, how we all cried for you. Even
though we did not talk or see each other every day, the
thought of knowing you were just a phone call away was
our security that big brother is still watching. Now that
you are gone, and we won’t see or hear from you, we will
cherish the great memories you have left behind. Brah,
you were a special gift to your siblings. Good night to
this world, now you can take your rest. We love you.

Love, Danyell, Tressie, Rebecca, & Valencia.

Son, we would talk on the phone almost every day; just
hearing your voice really calmed my spirit. It breaks
my heart to now realize I will never get to listen to your
voice again, saying, “Hi, Mom.” You were my firstborn,
and the first time I laid eyes on my precious baby boy, I
smiled with great joy. Today, my heart aches because I
must say goodbye. I wish you had more time here, but
I know I will see you again. Son, you were one of my
greatest achievements and my biggest fan. I love you so
